Objective

The investment objectives of the Fund are to provide investors with:

  • Attractive levels of income on a regular basis
  • Lower volatility compared to the benchmark
  • The opportunity for capital appreciation

Process

The Fund follows a disciplined, quantitative investment approach. The portfolio is managed to generate attractive levels of income, quality and risk characteristics.

A 'bottom-up' stock selection approach employing Income, Quality, Growth and Valuation is the foundation of the Fund’s investment process. The equity investment universe is comprised of large, well established, dividend paying Canadian and U.S. equities. In addition, Canadian bonds that have a credit rating of at least A- are considered when they can help the Fund deliver upon its objectives of providing attractive levels of income.
